Ingredients
chicken pieces
finely chopped onions
chopped garlic
chopped ginger
turmeric powder - 1tsp
coriander powder - 2tsps
chilli powder - 1tsp
cumin powder - 11/2 tsp
garam masala - 1tsp
salt to taste
cooking oil - 4tbsps
tomatoes - finely chopped
green chillies - whole - 2or3
coriander leaves - finely chopped

Method
- For marination of chicken, take the chicken pieces add 2 tablepoon curd, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, half a spoon of chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to taste.
- keep this marination for 1 hour in fridge.Place the onion, garlic and ginger in a mixie and blend to a smooth paste.
- Heat the oil and add tej patta whole garam masala andthen add the blended puree/paste .
- Stir and fry for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Add turmeric, coriander, cumin and chilli powder and fry for 3 minutes. stirring frequently.
- Add the tomatoes. stir and cook for few minutes.
- Then add the chicken, stir and cook until chicken changes colour or 5-6 minutes.
- Add salt and water, bring to the boil, cover and simmer until the chicken is tender.
- Stir occasionally.
- And then add the whole green chillies and garam masala, cover and cook for few minutes. Remove from heat and garnish coriander leaves. Ready to serve and eat.
- Serve with plain rice or chapathi or naan.
