mexican churros

Ingredients:

  • Refined flour (Maida) - 2 cup
  • Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Powdered Cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Butter - 4 tbsp
  • Sugar - 4 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - for frying churros

Method:

  • Take an utensil with heavy base, add 1 & 1/2 cup water and keep it on flame for boiling. Now add butter and sugar in water. Add baking powder when butter and sugar melts and water starts boiling. Add maida in the water stir constantly until all lumps gets disapearing. Cook on low flame and then turn off the gas. Mash finely and prepare soft dough. Dough for making churros is ready.
  • now take oil in a pan and place it on flame for heating.
  • Place a star nozzle in a cake decorating machine and fill with dough.
  •  Close it with cap and press the lever so that dough comes out.
  •  Cut the dough with 3-4 inch length.
  • If you do not have cake decorating machine then u can make a cone out of a thick plastic sheet and make a hole in it and the whole show be little big so that medium thickness of churros can be prepared.
  • Pour the dough in heated oil and fry on medium flame they get golden brown in color.
  • Take out the churros in a serving dish and eat in room temperature.
  • while serving dust some powdered sugar on the surface of the churros.

Ingredients
  • Noodles - 1 cup (boiled)
  • Mushroom - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Gram flour- 1 cup
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Cabbage - ½ cup (finely chopped)
  • Green chilly - 1-2 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger - 1 inch piece (thinly chopped)
  • Green coriander - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Onion (finely sliced)
  • 4 to 5 garlic buds (finely chopped)
  • Salt - ½ tsp (as per taste)
  • Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
  • Oil - for frying pakora
( vegetables can be used according to the choice like cabbage mushroom capsicum or carrots etc)

Method


  •  Take gram flour and corn flour in an utensil. Stir until all lumps get mixed completely. Add some more water and make a smooth batter with thin consistency. Whisk the batter for 5 minutes so that it becomes more soft.
  • Add salt, red chilly powder, green chilly, ginger, chopped vegetables and noodles in the mixture and mix all ingredients nicely.
  • Take oil in a pan and place it on flame for heating. Place 4-5 pakoras or as many as possible at one time in the pan.
  • Fry until they turn golden brown in color from both sides. Take out the pakoras in a plate and serve hot with green chutney or simply ketchup also it tastes awesome.

Tulsi Sudha




TULSI SHARBAT




Ingredients:
  • Water - 10 cups
  • Basil or tulsi Leaves - ½ cup(100 leaves)
  • Jiggery(gur) - ¾ cup
  • Lemon - 4(medium sized)
  • cardamom - 10

  •   First of all squeeze juice from all the lemons.
  • Grind basil ( tulsi ) leaves and cardamom  elaichi along with lemon juice to make a fine paste.
  • Boil water and put jaggery in it. Once the water comes to boil and the jaggery starts dissolving turn off the gas.
  •   When the water turns lukewarm, then add the paste to the jaggery dissolved water.
  •   Stir well so that the paste and water are finely mixed then cover it and leave aside for 2 hours.
  • After cooling strain Tulsi Sudha.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Delicious tulsi sharbat is ready keep it in refrigerator and serve cool, you can also serve it hot in winter season. And it can also be stored in refrigerator for a week.
